2022 Eisenstone Hoffmann Vineyard Ebenezer Shiraz SV902

Post Type: Product

The grapes for the Hoffmann DV (Dimchurch Vineyard) single vineyard wine are sourced from the famed Dallwitz Block, which was largely planted between 1888 and 1912, and more specifically rows 25-30 of the “younger” 70+ year old vines. Depending on the vintage conditions generally between 800 and 2,400 bottles are produced. Deep intense ruby red in colour. Savory fruit with ripe berry fruits overlaying spicey oak characters. The wine is typical of Barossa Old vine and is luxurious and coats the mouth giving eh wine extraordinary depth and length of flavour. The structure is balanced for ease of drinking when young but will support development over many years of careful cellaring.

2022 Eisenstone ‘Becker’ Vyd Koonunga Shiraz SV907

Post Type: Product

The grapes were sourced from Becker Vineyard – Mt Charles block in the Koonunga sub-region of the Barossa Valley. Four generations of the Becker Family owned the small vineyard until it was recently purchased by the Hoffmann family. The exact age of the vines in this block has been lost but understood to be between 70 and 80 years old. The volume produces is limited to the annual yield of this small parcel. Old vine wines from the Northern Barossa produce elegant but powerful wines. They are subtle but have a remarkable length to the pallet and this wine is no exception. Black forest fruits dominate and the lifted fruit is underpinned but elegant French oak spice.
