Intense and deep bordeaux red colour. The nose is wonderfully varietal, with plenty of aromas of freshly pressed berries, plums and cherries especially. The palate is lively and rounded, making a wine which is fine for drinking alone but also with good steaks and sausages.
“Having spread itself around the globe, there are some locations where Pinot Grigio seems to be more at home, or better understood, than elsewhere. The Trentino DOC at the foot of the Italian Alps is definitely on that short list. The Riserva wines from Mezzacorona are produced using only the best fruit from good vintages. The grapes for this Pinot Grigio were grown in select vineyards around the village of Zambana. These are pressed immediately, with brief cool maceration after soft pressing. Fermentation separated into stainless steel tanks and small oak barrels. The wine has a light yellow colour, aromas reminiscent of ripe white peaches and pear, notes of mature chamomile and other herbs. The flavours are harmonious with the aromas and the palate is long and full-bodied. A faint touch of vanilla is present but as a spice rather than a dominant trait. This is a wonderful Pinot Grigio, and a great example of the variety as the most well regarded white grape in this part of Italy. “
Colour: Pale golden straw. Nose: Lightly perfumed, with mineral and fruity hints. Palate: A richly textured palate and a touch of residual sweetness that is characteristic of the Pinot Gris style. Perfect white for salads and seafood.

Medium-deep colour with a trace of brick starting up at the rim, the bouquet showing dark and red cherry fruits, raspberry, mint and dried herbs, with some eucalypt forest-floor nuances. It’s full and intense on the tongue, with volume and length, lots of black cherry, the tannins ample and firm with a kick of grip on the end-palate.
The palate shows white nectarine, melon and green apple with a citrus finish. A few years of bottle age have enriched body and texture balanced by crisp acidity that keeps the wine lively.
