2022 Harewood Estate Flux-VII White Blend

A blend of three varieties growing alongside each other in the Frankland River wine growing region to the north of the Great Southern – 60% Pinot Gris, 30% Gewürztraminer and 10% Riesling. A small proportion of the pinot gris spent 6 months in French oak puncheons. As expected, the nose is a complex combination of exotic, citrus and stone fruits with fragrant, lifted floral notes. The palate repeats the complex blend of fruit flavours with hints of spice in the mid palate leading to a long citrus finish. The wine will improve with careful cellaring over a five year period.

2021 Eisenstone ‘Dallwitz’ Shiraz

Deepest of purple at the core, barely fading into the rim. Aromas of mulberry, dark chocolate, dried woody herbs and boudin noir fill the nose. The palate fills with the same intensity the nose experienced. Dark and rich fruit is entwined with chocolate, ironstone and dried herb complexities. Tannins are very subtle, yet clearly carrying a great power to ensure the intensity of this wine remains focused. Line and length are prodigious, it lingers for an age on the palate yet still offers a freshness to the end that delights. Has a huge future for many years ahead of it

2021 Eisenstone D’OR Shiraz

Penetrable core with a deep and glass staining purple tone at the rim. Ripe blueberry, dark chocolate, candied violet and vanilla bean aromatics. Big and robust, incredibly powerful black and blue fruits fill every crevice of the palate then we see layers of black spices, vanilla pod and dark chocolate notes add further to the intensity. Tannins are up to the task with serious presence and power yet still of a ripe and fine-grained nature. It carries a phenomenal length, almost never ending, the tannins are the last thing noted so it ends with clarity and focus. Will cellar for many years to come

An intense, pungent nose displaying gooseberry and passionfruit with hints of tropical fruit and grassy citrus notes. The use of only free-run juice is reflected in the seamless purity of the palate. Mouth-watering citrus fruits are balanced by more tropical passionfruit and pineapple notes. Hints of flint and spice in the mid-palate lead to a lingering fine finish of grapefruit.
