2021 Eisenstone ‘Mattscheoss’ Vyd Greenock Shiraz SV901

Post Type: Product

The Mattcheoss vineyard lies to the western side of Greenock Creek in deep red soils that slop gently to the East. The parcel of grapes used for the single vineyard wine are sourced from 40+ year old Shiraz vines that produce densely coloured and intensely flavoured wines the region is famous for. Wines from the Greenock sub region are considered by winemakers as being “complete”, meaning have a rich even pallet and variety of complementary flavours. This wine exemplifies all of these characteristics.

2021 Eisenstone ‘Becker’ Vyd Koonunga Shiraz SV907

Post Type: Product

The grapes were sourced from Becker Vineyard – Mt Charles block in the Koonunga sub-region of the Barossa Valley. Four generations of the Becker Family owned the small vineyard until it was recently purchased by the Hoffmann family. The exact age of the vines in this block has been lost but understood to be between 70 and 80 years old. The volume produces is limited to the annual yield of this small parcel. Old vine wines from the Northern Barossa produce elegant but powerful wines. They are subtle but have a remarkable length to the pallet and this wine is no exception. Black forest fruits dominate and the lifted fruit is underpinned but elegant French oak spice.
