Palate: A subtle vanilla accent is achieved by the introduction of just the right amount of oak. A perfect balance of vivacity, richness and complexity characterizes this sauvignon, from a great terroir. 
Pairings: La Jouline is excellent on its own as an aperitif and as an accompaniment to scallops of firm fleshed fish such as turbot and sea bass. With white meats in rich sauces it will really shine and even hold its own with foie gras.Light-mid yellow, bright and buttery nose, a barrel fermented style with some work done on it. Perhaps some malolactic also. Full in the mouth, rich and deep with piercing minerally stony nuances. Long carry. A superb wine with lots of dimensions to it.
93 pts - Angus Hughson (Wine Pilot)This comes from a vineyard selection off Chene Marchand which has been given plenty of oak and, while not ready to drink quite yet, the pieces are all in place for something quite special. It is powerful and weighty as it delivers aromas of guava, nettles, river pebbles and savoury leesy complexity all wrapped up in a thick blanket of oak. Richly flavoured, there is tremendous density of flavour but also a fresh acidity that provides backbone and tension before a long, strong finish. Put this away for at least five years to enjoy at peak.
