Pemberton is a lovely part of the Great Southern of Western Australia, about 90 minutes east of Margaret River by car. The wines from here tend to be delicate and fine-boned. This Shiraz had a Merlot-like plushness and softness, with a silky texture. Lovely red. Good drinking now and for the next 5 years.
92 pts - Ken Gargett (WIne Pilot)A single vineyard Pemberton Shiraz, this is deep maroon with notes of chocolate, beefstock, licorice, coffee beans, dried herbs, warm earth and animal skin. The wine is impressively structured with focus, balance, very fine tannins and excellent length. It lingers pleasantly. Compelling evidence for me, that Shiraz is the star variety for the Pemberton region. Enjoy this over the next six to eight years.

I absolutely love this wine. Full body and smooth on the pallet. Highly recommended.
