A bright, gleaming crimson hued Pinot from the Denmark region of Western Australia. Lovely, lifted aromas, there are notes of red cherries, spices, smoked meats, cinnamon and redcurrants with good oak integration on the nose. Fine tannins and good acidity, there is a lovely little flick of almond bitterness on the finish. Enjoy now and for the next six years.
93 pts - Patrick Eckel (Wine Reviewer)A vibrant but light red in the glass, with aromatics of red cherry and more earthen like spice. The palate shows a wine that is varietally correct and saturated with red cherry fruit that builds with spice and a richness afforded by time in oak. Tannins are fine but have impact in terms of providing shape and contrast to the wines richer aspects. The finish sees black cherry and a dusting of spice. A lot to like here.
