Fragrant aromas of lemon peel, ginger, spices and chalk. The palate is textural with a creamy mouthfeel and focused acidity, giving round notes of Asian pears, red apples, cookies and passion-fruit curd. Complex and intriguing from an obscure blend of sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and pinot noir. Delicious. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
93 pts - Stephen Wong (The Real Review)Pale rose-gold. Instantly complex nose with a range of spicy nettle, fleshy stone-fruit, roasted nut and savoury cream aromas underpinned by earthy and floral rose perfume. The palate is weighty and dry with long, deep flavours which echo the creamy, savoury sides of the bouquet. Excellent acidity holds it all together with even a touch of tannin. Concentrated, complex but confusing, this actually has a mouthful of flavour which will appeal to both lovers of a full-bodied rosé and white Burgundy at the same time, yet it is ostensibly based on sauvignon blanc. This will develop nicely in bottle.
