Like many of the Paisley wines, this Chardonnay has a name which works as a nod to the music industry, thanks to the interests and history of the man behind it all, Derek Fitzgerald. This young and fresh Chardonnay from Padthaway has seen the influence of French oak. The colour here is a pale straw. This is soft and approachable, quite peachy and with stonefruit notes. There is a soft, gentle and alluring texture and medium length. For me, this is the ultimate, early-drinking crowd pleaser. Enjoy it now and for the next three years.
90 pts - Sam Kim (Wine Orbit)Fine and elegant, the wine shows Gala apple, nectarine and lemon peel aromas on the nose with a hint of nougat. The palate displays juicy fruit flavours with linear mouthfeel and fine texture, well framed by bright acidity, making it charming and immediately approachable. At its best: now to 2028.
