Nose: Aromas of red fruits and oak. 
Palate:Â Old vine wines from the Northern Barossa produce elegant but powerful wines. They are subtle but have a remarkable length to the pallet and this wine is no exception. Black forest fruits dominate and the lifted fruit is underpinned but elegant French oak spice.Very dark, dense, saturated colour; lashings of coconutty vanillan charry oak on the nose, with ironstone and mocha. Massive wine, full-bodied and dense. Concentrated and power-packed, dark chocolate on the finish and cocoa, espresso coffee, long, and the tannins are emphatic but supple and balanced.
93 pts - Andrew Graham (Oz Wine Review)The Koonunga-sourced wines are probably the most ripe and obvious of all, with this wine a singular wine of sticky plum fruit, like blanched raspberries. That impact is very impressive, though the trade-off is less complexity for more singular deep ripe red fruit.
