The grapes for the Hoffmann DV (Dimchurch Vineyard) single vineyard wine are sourced from the famed Dallwitz Block, which was largely planted between 1888 and 1912, and more specifically rows 25-30 of the “younger” 70+ year old vines. Depending on the vintage conditions generally between 800 and 2,400 bottles are produced.
Color: Deep intense ruby red in colour.
Nose: Savory fruit with ripe berry fruits overlaying spicey oak characters.
Palate: The wine is typical of Barossa Old vine and is luxurious and coats the mouth giving eh wine extraordinary depth and length of flavour. The structure is balanced for ease of drinking when young but will support development over many years of careful cellaring.
