Nose: Aromas of red berries and oak.
Palate: Wines from the Moppa region a deep in colour and produce intense brooding wines with flavours that tend to the mulberry and cedar spectrum.Very deep, dark red-purple colour with a sweetly pepperminty and red fruited aroma as well as darker blackberries, and lots of toasty, smoky oak. Rich, sweet fruit, which is deep and plush. A gorgeous shiraz that will mature beautifully.
94 pts - Andrew Graham (Oz Wine Review)Drawn from a block on the edge of Moppa and Greenock with lots of ironstone in the soil profile. I see the slow-burn feel to this Shiraz, with this chocolate-raspberry sort of tightly wound profile. Lovely layers of savouriness here – it’s less pure fruit, and obvious moody depth. High quality, if a little hard to read.
