A slightly off-dry style of Riesling from the Southern Valleys district in Marlborough, New Zealand. This is a style that is enormously underrated. The colour is a pale lemon hue. Quite ripe in style, there are notes of lemon curd, peaches, white jasmine, citrus, apricot kernels and honeycomb on the nose. The wine is of medium length and it seems as though the palate is taking just a little time to catch up with the nose. It will get there. Best to give the wine two to three years and then enjoy it over the following ten to twelve. There is a clean finish and a good line of acidity. Worth cracking a bottle with your favourite Asian takeaway.
Rick Allen (Newcastle Herald)This is from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. First up it's off-dry, but beautifully handled with the lightest touch of residual sugar - it's there, but it's not. Very moreish stuff. Flavours dance across stonefruit, red apple and lime citrus, with distinct minerality and a biscuity note as well. Clean, bright, and just so easy to drink. Lovely for the hotter months.
