Palate:The palate is full-bodied and complex. Stone fruits and honeydew melon flavours lead to a creamier rounded mid-palate of peach, vanilla and roasted nuts, with a lingering crisp finish of grapefruit and spicy French oak.The 2023 Porongurup Riesling is firm and taut, with a fine floral display of wisteria and jasmine, cold tea, crushed rocks and shells, with suggestions of citrus pith and brine. A gorgeous wine, it speaks eloquently of the Porongurup subregion of Western Australia. 12% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

It feels fragrant and pretty to sniff on, flavours so alive, racy and refreshing. A filigree of talc-like mineral charm, a touch of brine to finish. This is beautiful and delicious in its understatement and delicacy. A winner.
