This is a stunning Riesling, among the best I can remember tasting from the Great Southern. The fruit comes from Frankland, Australia’s most underrated wine region, and it’s bristling with energy, gorgeous ripe fruit with hints of mango, backed by crunchy acidity. Perfect pitch.
94 pts - Andrew Graham (Oz Wine Review)Another day, another excellent Harewood Riesling. Ha! Indulge my Riesling love, eh! This comes from Frankland River fruit. Definitely a more grapefruity style compared to the Denmark wine, and again excellent intensity – a big grapefruit punch, but with a Gewurz-like linalool edge. The palate is so perfectly defined, with a little black texta and green fruit in among the grapefruit. Just excellent length and carry, if slightly outclassed by the Denmark wines different shades of flavour and density. Hair-splitting! The only thing really wrong here is I have last vintage’s picture (which is becoming a habit).
