Color: The wine shows a brilliant, exceptionally pale straw colour with youthful green tinges on release.
Nose: Exhibits pungent spicy blossom aromas, and hints of stone fruits enhanced by an underlying citrus vibrancy.
Palate: A seamless palate follows, with initial flavours of passionfruit and lemon barley leading to a richer, spicy mid-palate with hints of pear, and finishing with classic mouth-watering citrus.This is a blend of grapes from Mount Barker, Denmark, Porongurup and Frankland River. Generous flavour, rich and round, with notes of ripe passion fruit, pear and a squirt of lemon.
91 pts - Stuart Robinson (The Vinsomniac)This is the one that generally leads me down the nasal path to Thai Basil, spiced blossoms, citrus oils. It's not as obvious on the palate as the Single Vineyard offerings, you have to go looking. It's perhaps a more straightforward affair: lemon balsam, a little passionfruit and guava like note. Not overt. On a reasonable finish, a good-ish length.
