Nose: The first aromas to appear are those of gentle strawberry and raspberry, with bakery aromas and subtle hints of cinnamon and spice. 
Palate: On the palate it is juicy and has a fine acidity, leaving a final sensation of beautiful finesse.There is an argument which suggests that wines develop in a style to match the local cuisine, obviously more so in the Old World. It is certainly not difficult to imagine enjoying a glass of this Rioja with a range of tapas or most especially roast lamb, which the region does so well. Dark magenta with a vibrant purple rim, the nose gives us aromas of mulberries, plums, dried herbs, truffles, fresh beetroot, a hint of liqueur cherries and warm earth. Quite a supple texture with decent length and good focus, the wine is well balanced and there are hints of sour cherry which emerge the finish. Enjoy it over the next six to eight years.
