An Italian Pinot Grigio with serious attitude. Sourced from Italy’s northern, alpine, Südtirol- Alto Adige region, Tolloy brings some deep-seated complexity to the Grigio grape revealing an inner richness we so seldom get to see and enjoy. Concentrated fruit flavours abound in quince, Asian pear, apple, peach, lifted aromatically in alpine wildflowers and honeysuckle. Spice comes into play on the palate, an attractive undertow in ginger and mace, sucking you further and further into what is one impressive Italian Grigio. A gentle creaminess like peach custard carries through to the finish. It’s got the weight and depth to handle white meats and relatively rich dishes.
91 pts - Stuart Knox (The Real Review)Pale straw-yellow colour. Waxy pear and grapefruit zest aromas. Quite full bodied with a depth of ripe pear and honeycomb notes. Flows long; glacé ginger and cumin spices fill along the line then it finishes with a rich flourish
