Very light colour in the glass, with lovely mineral, slaty, stony aromas. The palate is crisp and intense with lively and cleansing acidity, drive and persistence, but also wonderful linearity. Serious riesling. Lip-smacking vitality. Finesse, line and length to burn. It's near enough to dry, unusual for a Mosel. (100ml sample bottle tasted)
92 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)A touch of honeycomb is in evidence here, along with some appealing citrus notes in this attractive dry German Riesling. This is a very pale lemon colour, with a nose offering an array of flavours, which also includes a hint of mango, peaches, limes and lemons, and even a line of salinity. Delightful aromatics and the palate also impresses with its generosity. With a hint of cleansing bitterness on the finish, this is nicely balanced with a flick of acidity for drinking over the next four to six years.
