At the foot of Mount Etna, where the Sicilian volcano still murmurs and breathes, the vineyards of Frontesciara unfurl, a dark tongue of earth born from the lava flow of 1981. Here, in the very heart of Sicily at its most authentic, we chose to craft a wine that speaks to the island’s iconic dialect.
Color: Luminous ruby red hue.
Nose: The nose opens with a fragrant bouquet of fresh raspberry, red cherry and violet, enriched by subtle hints of dried dates.
Palate: On the palate it reveals a striking sense of focus and vitality, where cherry preserves, citrus nuances and pomegranate unfold over a thread of volcanic freshness. Fine, polished tannins lend precision and balance, while the finish stretches long and vibrant, capturing the unmistakable energy of Mount Etna.
Pairings: Tuna, roasts of duck or turkey. Excellent with vegetarian dishes based on wild mushrooms, eggplants or medium aged cheeses.
