Clairault Wine Tasting at Vine Providore
Vine will be hosting a Clairault wine tasting this Friday 14th June.
Clairault Estate was one of the first handful of vineyards planted in Margaret River 40 years ago.
We will be presenting established classics, from benchmark vintages.
2013 Clairault Estate (reserve) Cab Sauv
95 pts – James Halliday 2018
The colour is excellent, as is the balance and depth of fruit which, while predominantly cassis/blackcurrant, does have the occasional glint of red fruits before ripe, but savoury, tannins move in to end the conversation.
2014 Clairault Estate (reserve) Chardonnay
95 pts Halliday
93 pts Campbell Mattinson
2017 Clariault Chardonnay (new release)
Despite being a long established vineyard, Clairault are also breaking against the established traditions (rebelling against themselves?)
They are now producing skin contact wines, under the Dissidents label.
A field blend white and a unique red wine – we won’t tell you the grape variety until you try it on Friday!
These are wines you feel as much as taste!
All will be revealed on Friday night from 5pm.
