The vineyard of San Fabiano Calcinaia is located among the hills of the prestigious Chianti countryside. An ancient property, dating back to 1000 A.D., the current estate was established in 1983 by Guido and Isa Seri. All fruit is estate grown in the vineyards located within the area of Castellina, known for producing some of the firmest and age worthy wines in the Chianti region.
The territory of Chianti Classico, which stretches between Florence and Siena, has remained largely unchanged over time. Agriculture is the primary activity in the region – an aspect that makes this countryside unique. This area is particularly suitable for the production of fine wines.
