2018 Forrest Botrytised Riesling

Deep golden hue. Rich and heady aromas of dried fig, mango, hot toffee and marmalade notes. Big and rich, unctuous on the palate with deep and sweet mango and marmalade notes. Flows incredibly long and whilst all that richness could overrun it, there’s a fine and bright line of acid that ensures it both drives and cleans up the finish.

A golden yellow in colour, the nose has marmalade, cumquat and some candied lime and bush honey. The palate is concentrated, but has a freshness to the fruit that is dominated by marmalade, with a faint clotted cream and a floral white flower influence that adds genuine interest to the mid palate. The finish is long and dripping with honeyed, candied citrus fruits, yet an underlying vibrancy. Delicious.
