Mt Bera’s 157ha of lush hills and valleys have evolved from a 1851 commercial orchard to the biodynamically grown vineyards of today. The 1990s marked the beginning of how the Horner family’s passion shaped Mt Bera’s identity, producing wines of elegance, purity and a true expression of its source.

Mt Bera’s historic homestead is stunningly located in a high sanctuary overlooking the rugged Torrens Gorge. The surrounding vineyards replaced orchards which first exported fruit to London’s Covent Gardens in 1879. The vineyard site is warm with north east facing orientation over red clay loam.

93 pts - Sam Kim (Wine Orbit)

Splendidly ripe and inviting, the bouquet shows blackcurrant, sweet cherry, mixed spice, and toasted almond characters. The palate displays excellent weight and succulent fruit intensity, beautifully structured by layers of fine-grained tannins, finishing long and robust.
