Production : Made through just one alcohol infusion, according to the old monks’ tradition.
Ingredients : 16 Italian botanicals, including: linden, ash three, mulberry, cypress, orange, rhubarb, and currant.
Colour : Deep amber, whose different shades, given by the natural colour of the botanicals, can be seen against the light.
Smell Bud scents with herbal notes, which is typical of botanicals. Deeply leafy hints, with final root fragrances.
Taste : Herbal, balanced and delicate, with deep, round flavours with a pleasant, bitter touch. There are also notes of cortex and buds, typical of trees, like in the undergrowth where it has just rained. Wet leaf and soft fruit touches are also present. The finish is light citrus.
Aftertaste/Aftersmell : Fully bitter, though not sharp; rich and persistent.
Combinations : Besides being the traditional after-meal drink, this amaro represents the perfect personal touch for cocktails of the past.
