We’re very excited to introduce our newest brand, Domaine de Galuval from Rhône Valley is now in stock! Founded in 1923, Domaine de Galuval is one of the oldest winegrower-harvesters in Cairanne. The name ‘Galuval’ combines ‘gallus,’ which is Latin for rooster and symbolises pride, and ‘uva,’ which translates to grapes, referencing its old heritage and the symbolic importance of the Gallus.
Recently, the estate has decided to give a second life to the winery involving an overhaul of the wine range, new branding and labels, and transitioning to sustainable farming by becoming HVE certified with organic certification in the works.

2019 Domaine Galuval ‘Noir Ventabren’ Caladoc
The intensely deep, almost black color inspired its name. The initial nose is marked by a minty, slightly eucalyptus expression. Notes of small black berries, blackcurrant, and blackberries complete this olfactory palette. On the palate, it is explosive and opulent. The richness and power of this wine are channeled with elegance and freshness by the wood. We find all the power and creamy black fruit of a Caladoc aged without compromise.
2020 Domaine Galuval ‘Le Carre du Coq’ Syrah
The color is deep ruby, evoking a fruity and serious promise. The initial nose is marked by violet, black fruit, and some menthol notes. We can sense the support of a well-balanced maturation process that serves the fruit. On the palate, straightforwardness and seriousness open the ball, followed by tannins that are both fine and creamy. The balance between acidity and sweetness is superb.
