Mezzacorona: Pioneers In Sustainability

By: SVS Categories: Wines
Certified sustainable quality, from the vineyards to the wine. Mezzacorona’s aim is to sustain an example of wine making which is environmentally friendly and compatible with the surrounding land. The winery and vineyards have been designed and developed in a way that causes as little impact on the environment as possible.

All of Mezzacorona’s wines, from Feudo Arancio to Castel Firmian, are a result of careful choices made by the grape growers and wine makers. During cultivation and production, sustainability and environmental responsibility is a key focus. The original wine making traditions have always seen strong ties between techniques and the land. These such ties result in the registered designations of origin (DOC), wines of quality and excellence. Growers have always been committed to preserving the quality of the natural resources of the territory. Mezzacorona’s philosophy of production which has evolved through time means they can guarantee their wines contribute to environmental sustainability, biodiversity and the beauty of the land.

For decades Mezzacorona members have adhered to the protocol by the Province of Trento for integrated production. This voluntary agreement encompasses farming policies that respect and protect the environment, community and consumers. The below outlines Mezzacorona’s strategies to continue sustainability from the land to the bottle.
