Two of our favourite winery representatives are coming to Australia next week!
Matteo Apollonio from Mezzacorona, Italy and Shin Saito from Champagne Jacquart, France.
Mezzacorona is the largest grower of Pinot Grigio in the world. Mezzacorona presents the finest expressions of Trentino viticulture, obviously specialising in Pinot Grigio – but not limited to it by any means.
Mezzacorona identified the need to diversify their offering many years ago, as a result they developed the Feudo Arancio vineyard in Sicily. Some of our favourites include the native grapes of Sicily: Grillo, Inzolia and Nero d’Avola.
Mezzacorona’s production, across all vineyards and wineries has been certified as EU Sustainable. This is a very important certification, as it covers a significant amount of detail across all parts of production, not just the vineyard (as in organics).
The purpose of Matteo’s visit is to support the wines currently in the market and to also develop other exclusive shipping projects.
Shin Saito will be here for a couple of the Taste Champagne gigs and also to visit our trade customers and the media.
Whilst he is here Shin will also launch the new Champagne Jacquart Extra Brut Cuvee, as well as the new look for Champagne Jacquart.
