By: SVS Categories: Wines

Summer is coming , and with it, the perfect opportunity to enjoy all the flavors of the naturally aromatic Val Soléu Organic Rosé.

This Organic Rose from Provence is produced by Cellier des Dauphins, a winery nestled in the southern Rhône Valley, in the foothills of the southern Alps.

Val Soléu Organic Rosé just landed in Sydney and here is all you have to know about it!

Val Soléu Organic Rosé

Organic, aromatic, eco-friendly. These are the words to best describe this wine. Inspired by a terroir of lavender and olive trees, the winegrowers created this fresh and aromatic organic rose while respecting the environment.

Colour: Pale and brilliantly gleaming with rose-petal highlights.
Bouquet: Thiol type aromas of citrus fruit such as grapefruit and exotic fruit in the mouth
Palate: A rosé of outstanding natural freshness packed with deliciously crisp, tangy fruit. Remarkably well-balanced and mouth filling, with a persistence underscored by superb freshness.

Cellier Des Dauphins

There are 21 distinct villages within Côtes du Rhône and Cellier des Dauphins’ Villages range highlights five of them, shedding light on village-specific nuances that aren’t always discernible when in a regional blend.

In particular, Val Soléu rosé comes from the sun-drenched terroir in the Drôme Provençale, a landscape of biodiversity and aromatic abundance with its vines, fruit bearing trees, lavender, olive groves, wild aromatic herbs and truffle oak.

Each of the bottlings in the producer’s range of wines speaks to their source in the region.

Winemaker Laurent Paré travels across the southern Rhône, visiting and working with the cooperative’s growers spread across 11 villages of Cellier des Dauphins terroir. “I am in the vineyard with the growers every day, selecting the specific grapes that should go into each blend,” he says.” The soil, the altitude, the centuries of winemaking tradition, each is a character in the stories of these wines.

Provence Region

Provence (Provençal) wine comes from the French wine-producing region of Provence in southeast France.

Wine has been made here for over 2600 years, making Provence the oldest wine-producing region of France. It is also the only place to focus on Rosé and is home to the only research institute dedicated to the style.

Rocky mountain racing roads, wine, and lavender are the distinctive hallmarks of Provence.
