“Who’s Been Messing With This Wine?”“It Wasn’t Me.”

By: SVS Categories: Wines, Organic

It Wasn’t Me is a new brand born of our desire to present natural wines to the trade. It is wild fermented, organically farmed and vegan friendly. This wine is the juice of grapes that we picked and squashed. It fermented itself into wine and then we tipped it into the bottles – that’s it. You can even chill it before drinking, if the mood takes you.

From time to time during vintage in the winery, a mischief maker will ask, “who’s been messing with this wine?” We can simply say, “It wasn’t me.”

A creation of The Half Full Wine Company, It Wasn’t Me was created to meet the growing consumer interest in both “natural” and lighter red wines. We made it ourselves, in order to bring the wines into the market more quickly. It Wasn’t Me strives to present certified organic wines at the right price.

2022 It Wasn’t Me Natural Red

90 pts – Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot): Fermented with wild yeasts and suitable for vegans (as well as anyone else who enjoys a good drink), this is crimson red. Soft aromatics with florals and red berries plus a hint of the spice rack. Very gentle tannins so not the sort of wine to keep the geeks up late into the night; rather, the sort of wine that makes a second glass almost mandatory. As we head into summer, don’t be afraid to chill it.
