The first thing consumers will notice when they look to open a bottle of this very fine Prosecco is that it is under an agrafe cork style closure. A blast from the past! Very pale lemon in colour, there are notes of citrus, mostly lemon, florals and a gentle hint of toast and brioche. Bright and fresh, there is some attractive fruit sweetness on the palate with hints of apricot. A wine of medium length for enjoying over the next three to four years.
91 pts - Jeni Port (Wine Pilot)Hails from the home of Prosecco and combines signature zesty bubbly action with more flavour depth than maybe some drinkers might be expecting or used to. Flavours delve into yellow apple, baked quince, pear, citrus with the lively addition of honeysuckle. The quality and the price alone indicate a high degree of seriousness and it’s delivered with a layering of flavours and texture, running fine, long and bubbly true with good acidity in tow. Finishes with a definite sweetness, a lemon sherbet brightness, that lifts the wine.
