A sumptuously delicious expression of this famous Spanish variety from a very good year in the Barossa. Has all you want with young tempranillo. It's soft, it's supple, it's juicy, and there's deliciously appealing bright red fruits on the palate. This is very much a wine for drinking over the shorter term, while those vibrant, bright fruit flavours are clearly evident, but you could leave it a little time in the cellar. For me, drink now and enjoy. Super stuff.
92 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)The Tempranillo used for this wine is sourced from the Eden Valley. 2024 was an excellent vintage in the region. The wine spent six days on skins with gentle plunging several times a day before maturation in older French oak hogsheads for eight months. The aim was a youthful, fresh style. The colour here is a vibrant deep crimson. The nose exhibits aromas of spices, charcuterie, wild raspberries, herbs, fresh beetroot, a touch of licorice, cloves, mushrooms and warm earth. A juicy style, quite refreshing with good energy, there is good focus and a lingering finish. Has deceptively abundant tannins, which are soft and supple on the finish. A lot to like here, it should drink impressively for the next four to six years.
