Nicely packaged, even if the label is rather busy. From the Castille region (technically, the IGP is Vino de la Tierra de Castilla). As the name suggests, the wine spends six months in 225-litre French oak barrels with fruit from vines that are over half a century in age, and is organic. Dark maroon. This is an easy drinking style, quite ripe, with a pleasing spiciness. The flavours are dominated by red fruit notes, well supported by a flick of oak. There is a sweet core to the fruit here with medium length and some grip evident. Drink now and for the next couple of years.
