2020 Domaine Galuval Cairanne ‘La Montagne’

Vibrant red currants on the nose with charcoal and spice, beautifully balanced with fresh acidity, black fruits, very approachable. Yum!

Deep, dark red with tinges of purple and black; the bouquet is savoury and dominated by charcoal/earthy and oak derived characters, the palate full bodied and very serious, with firm and slightly bitter tannins that confirm it as a serious food-wine. Dark fruits lurking beneath. Those tannins are calling for solid protein. A bold, intense, concentrated, penetrating wine with a very long carry and excellent potential.
