Vibrant red currants on the nose with charcoal and spice, beautifully balanced with fresh acidity, black fruits, very approachable. Yum!
95 pts - Huon Hooke (The Real Review)Deep, dark red with tinges of purple and black; the bouquet is savoury and dominated by charcoal/earthy and oak derived characters, the palate full bodied and very serious, with firm and slightly bitter tannins that confirm it as a serious food-wine. Dark fruits lurking beneath. Those tannins are calling for solid protein. A bold, intense, concentrated, penetrating wine with a very long carry and excellent potential.
