An attractive, and attractively packaged, white from Sicily. Inzolia is anything but a household name when it comes to grape varieties, but one has to think it deserves better. One to keep an eye upon. The wine is also excellent value. Under Diam. A pineapple/yellow hue, the nose is redundant of stone fruits, citrus, spices and florals. A slightly savoury style of white, there is good intensity and excellent length here. A highlight is the seductive and seamless texture. Enjoy this over the next three to five years. It really is cracking value.
92 pts - Kim Brebach (BWU20)This ancient variety is shipped under cork, which suggests a more serious wine. It spends a few months on lees for added interest, and offers hints of almonds, dried herbs and sea spray. Would be great with seafood.
