3 Bicchieri (Gambero Rosso)
95 pts - Jeni Port (Wine Pilot)A wine of serious intent. Garganega takes a step up in class with some smart vanillin oak highlighted which works well with the warm citrus and stone fruit flavour intensity of the wine. Meyer lemon to the fore with baked apple, peach, nectarine, honey and almond meal notes, all gently spiced. The added bonus is the introduction of delicious, savoury preserved lemon and marzipan which tickles the taste buds and gets you thinking about some suitable food matches like pasta or poultry or both. Serves up the flavour but is nicely trimmed in tight acidity.
95 pts - Huon Hooke (The Real Review)Medium-full yellow colour with a rich and complex, savoury bouquet of cashew nutty oak fermented notes allied with sotto voce citrus fruits and peels, a hint of gooseberry, the palate focused and refined in its intensity, with a long and resonating finish. A trace of tannin firms and dries the aftertaste. Excellent wine. (All garganega, barrel fermented. 200m altitude, limestone soil)
