Quèto is an organic range from Feudo Arancio. We’ve been banging the drum for the standard Grillo, and this version has more going for it, more tropical fruits, more lemons, more sea spray and more chalky minerals in the background. More depth is achieved by storing the wine on lees with regular stirring – yes, bâtonnage sounds more sophisticated, doesn’t it?
92 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)Sicilian Grillo, this is made organically and comes, more specifically, from the province of Agrigento. It is bottled under Diam. Fermentation is in stainless steel and the wine then spends a further five months there, on lees, for maturation. The colour is that of rather pale summer lemons. Attractive aromatics with a range including florals, limes, peaches, herbal touches and crushed almonds. There is good intensity here with fine acidity, if slightly crunchy. The wine is of medium to good length and should provide pleasure over the next five to six years.
