Venica & Venica wines new reviews are here! See below what critics had to say about them:
Venica & Venica – Primarul Collio DOC Friulano – 92 pts Huon Hooke, The Real Review
Bright, light-yellow colour. Bright and intense poached pear aromas, apple-pie as well and a subtle suggestion of honey. The palate is intense and driving, long and refined, with purity and charm. An excellent wine. (stainless steel fermented; no oak)
Venica & Venica – Ronco delle Cime Collio DOC Friulano – 95/100 Huon Hooke, The Real Review
Bright, light-yellow colour. Distinctive passionfruit and kiwi fruit sauvignon blanc aromas, fresh and vibrant, with a wealth of juicy fruit on the tongue, soft and seamless. The flavour is concentrated, penetrating and very long. Perhaps there’s a tickle of sweetness but the wine finishes dry thanks to a well-judged trace of tannin. A very stylish savvy. (20% fermented and matured in large barrels)
Venica & Venica – Jesera Collio DOC Pinot Grigio – 91 pts Huon Hooke, The Real Review
Light copper colour, aromas are fresh and floral, dried flowers and dried herbs. The palate has very attractive fruit flavour underlined by the merest trace of sweetness. A lovely grigio that’s drinking at its best now. (io% fermented and aged in large barrels)
Venica & Venica Ronco delle Mele Colio DOC Sauvignon Blanc – 95/100 Huon Hooke, The Real Review
Light to mid-yellow colour. Poached peach, pear and apple on the nose, a touch of oyster-shell, rich and ripe and complex. It’s fruit that’s leading the way, although there is a suspicion of barrel adding extra domension to the wine. Impressively concentrated flavour; the balance is soft but dry, while the finish is satisfyingly full and long, aided by a subtle trace of grip. An outstanding wine. (40% fermented and aged in large barrels)
