In stock.

The Harewood Estate Denmark Pinot Noir has been produced from fruit grown in the maritime subregion of Denmark in the Great Southern of Western Australia.

Color: The wine shows a light crimson with hints of purple.

Nose: A lifted nose of red cherry and strawberry is complemented by earthier, mushroom characters and spicy French oak.

Palate: Vibrant flavours of raspberry and ripe strawberries are balanced by more complex notes of spice and truffle with a creamy mid palate. The wine finishes with hints of mocha and redcurrant acidity supported by gentle tannins and toasty French oak.

Vegan friendly.

The colour is light as usual, but this time there’s more body and flavour. Denmark’s cool climate rivals that of Burgundy I suspect. There are cherries and red berries but also some earth and undergrowth characters. Getting there.

92 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)

The fruit here is sourced from a couple of vineyards, selected blocks, from the Denmark sub-region. The Harewood vineyard was planted in 1988, while the Apricus Vineyard, at a higher altitude, was planted in 1995. A pale crimson hue, all very Pinot, this is a sappy, savoury style. We have red fruits, briary notes, cigar box touches, rose petals and undergrowth. With supple textures and ultra-fine acidity, this is a wine of medium length and soft tannins which is quite delicious now and will offer very good drinking over the next three to four years, more if required.
