Color: A brilliant exceptionally pale straw colour with youthful green tinges on release.
Nose: Aromas of intense floral and citrus notes with some hints of passionfruit enhanced by an underlying spicy lift can be found on the nose.
Palate: A seamless palate, initial flavours of grapefruit and pear, leading to a sherbet mid-palate of passion fruit and spice, finishes with a long, classic mouth-watering citrus acidity. The fine structure is testament to the care taken during the production.As expected, this is the most delicate Riesling in the 2024 collection. Grapefruit makes an appearance in this delicate cool climate Riesling. Great line and length, and real finesse. Will have a long life.
94 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)Another very fine Riesling from the Denmark sub-region of the Great Southern, this is also a notch above the previous vintage. A pale lemon hue, the nose weaves through notes of mandarin, florals, limes, grapefruit, oystershells, wet slate, beeswax and jasmine. There is good intensity and juicy acidity, both running the length, while the wine is well balanced with good focus. Excellent length, this is taut and poised and will drink beautifully for the next dozen years.
