Another very fine Riesling from the Denmark sub-region of the Great Southern, this is also a notch above the previous vintage. A pale lemon hue, the nose weaves through notes of mandarin, florals, limes, grapefruit, oystershells, wet slate, beeswax and jasmine. There is good intensity and juicy acidity, both running the length, while the wine is well balanced with good focus. Excellent length, this is taut and poised and will drink beautifully for the next dozen years.
93 pts - Andrew Graham (Oz Wine Review)Always such excellent purity in these Harewood Riesling, and this is another win. I feel like I’ve missed the early peak of primary fruit joy, but the palate underneath is a super power – lime leaf, chalky acidity and white grapefruit crunch for days, with these late gooseberry and melon fruit generosity punctuating the back palate acid tang. Quality stuff. Best drinking: good now, or let it sleep for a few years and bring it out as a five-year-old.
