Palate: A seamless palate follows, with initial flavours of passionfruit and lemon barley leading to a richer, spicy mid-palate with hints of pear, and finishing with classic mouth-watering citrus.I like Harewood wines for their definite styles, and the good pricing at the cellar door (online). This wine is a blend of grapes from Mount Barker, Denmark, Porongurup and Frankland River and it works like a treat. Cool climate Riesling with attitude, lots of gorgeous flavour from ripe limes with a perfect line of fine acidity to keep it fresh and gripping and tidy.
92 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)This terrific value Riesling is sourced from a number of sub-regions across the Great Southern region in Western Australia, including Mount Barker, Denmark, Porongurup and Frankland River. Lemon/straw in colour, this is beautifully perfumed with notes of florals, pears, citrus and spices. It does make one wonder why Riesling at this price level can attain levels of quality of which few other wines can dream. Put simply, good value Riesling seems to run rings around its competition. Towards the finish, notes of lime and citrus and a touch of lemon blossom take a dominating role. There is a line of fine acidity and good length here. Enjoy this over the next six to eight years. It really is excellent value.
