Enticing nose of red berries, creamy spice and flowers, following through to a medium-full palate with quite an intense fruit drive, mellowed by fine tannins and the same, silky texture that the nose suggested. Hard to resist now, but will integrate even better with a little more time in bottle. Drink from 2022.
93 pts - Huon Hooke (The Real Review)Medium ruby to brick-red with tawny in the meniscus; the bouquet is strong on dry leather, savoury, earthy, forest-floor, stony/mineral and rusty-nail nuances—it's are all there. Very savoury, not a lot of primary fruit character, but it's classic Barolo. The tannins are very drying on the aftertaste, but somehow it's delicious. An unequivocally traditional style of Barolo.
