Fabulously elegant and delicate, the wine shows white flesh nectarine, lemon sorbet and white floral notes on the nose, leading to a brilliantly focused and linear palate that's bright and juicy. The wine offering terrific fruit purity and harmony, wonderfully complemented by a hint of sweetness and vibrant acidity. Impressively long and engaging. Style: Off-dry. At its best: now to 2030.
91 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)Forrest from Marlborough has always been well known for their Riesling (probably heresy in that district, but a lovely wine nonetheless). The style is off-dry and like so many Rieslings will benefit from time in the cellar. A cool ferment in stainless steel tanks, this has a pale lemon hue. The nose exhibits appealing notes of garden herbs, citrus and florals. Good focus and a lingering finish here. Soft texture and a fine balance, this is still rather youthful and should continue to drink well for at least the next half dozen years.
