Nose: Lime zest and floral flavours with a crisp mineral edge.
Palate: An elegant wine, which will develop greater complexity with careful cellaring. Pure varietal aromas of fresh citrus, lifted floral nuances and a hint of minerality.This wine is bigger and richer than most Pemberton Rieslings I’ve tasted. It shows typical Riesling features of limes and chalky minerals, plus good depth and length. I think this wine will be a gorgeous Riesling in 5 – 7 years’ time. 94++ points.
93 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)A very fine Pemberton Riesling from a single vineyard, this will offer considerable pleasure over the next 6 to 7 years, longer from good cellars. Intense yellow in colour, we have notes of honeysuckle, spices, lemons and grapefruits with a hint of orange rind. Nicely balanced with good length. This is a Riesling which comes across as slightly riper and more fully flavoured than many, but to its advantage.
