Stunning Grigio from that big coop at the foothills of the Italian Alps. Tracey picked it blind as a rich Chardonnay, and it’s a good guess because it’s rich and complex, polished and full-bodied. Some of it was matured in oak as well. All the usual suspects are in attendance: the pears and apricots, the ginger spice and the lychees, and a sprinkle of vanilla. It’s all so effortless and seamless. Best PG I’ve enjoyed in quite a while.
91 pts - Huon Hooke (The Real Review)Light-mediujm yellow hue; toast/straw/hay and dried herb aromas, the palate full, round and dry, with some crispness from acidity and it seems to be ageing gracefully. A very attractive mouthful of dry white now showing the beginnings of bottle-age character and some appealing richness.
