A new winery for me. Bob Campbell tells us that Tarras has a few hectares of vines on the Bendigo terraces at Central Otago, with spectacular views across the valley. They also buy in grapes from places as far away as Marlborough. This Gris offers peaches, pears and lychees with a twist of ginger. It’s rich, ripe and full-bodied, and just a little off-dry. There’s more than nod to Alsace here. They only make a couple of hundred cases.
93 pts - Huon Hooke (The Real Review)Light, bright yellow hue; very attractive clean fresh spicy gris aromas, rich and ripe with spiced honey and subtle pepper nuances. The wine is rich and round, with a tickle of sweetness that is nicely integrated and very much a part of the rich, late-harvest Alsace style of the wine

We were out when delivery was made but driver spoke to the local shop which is on site, and left it there rather than leave it in the open or take it back.
