Great value here from Western Australia – the home of SBS in Australia. It’s the classic Western Australian dry white writ large full of lovely, zesty herbals mingling easily with citrus, grapefruit pith, lime with a touch of green bean savvy exuberance – just a touch. Semillon plays its part well with a warm creamy smoothness. Overall, there is good balance and clarity of expression aided by some brisk acidity. The appearance of some perky lime zestiness really enlivens things up.
91 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)Western Australia made a real impact with this blend some years ago, when it became known as the Classic Dry White WA style of fresh white. The kiwi sauvalanche proved a major speedbump, but that does not mean that there are not plenty of excellent examples still providing enormous pleasure. From the Denmark region, this is good value. A straw/yellow colour, the nose reveals notes of spices and citrus, some tropicals, dry herbs and cereal. Good focus and clean acidity, this is a linear style of medium length with a soft fade. Drink over the next couple of years.
