It’s a straightforward SSB from Denmark winery Harewood, with Semillon the minor partner. Clean and grassy / tangy, full-flavoured, good drinking now.
91 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)The once famous West Aussie Classic Dry White blend of Savvy and Semillon might have been largely washed away by the Kiwi Sauvalanche, but it was famous for a reason – the wines were great drinking. The team use free run juice for theirs. Excellent value. A pale lemon hue, the nose reveals the wine to be quite a herbal, grassy style, with appealing citrussy notes. Just a whiff of pleasant tropical flavours, notably passionfruit, along with a hint of lantana and the characters of a freshly mown lawn. Juicy grapefruit touches on the palate, which really help to lift the wine. There is crunchy acidity, good length and plenty of energy here. A wine which should drink well for up to half a dozen years.
