Denmark and Pemberton in the Great Southern tend to produce subtle, delicate white wines. This wine lets the fruit do most of the talking – peaches and nectarines mostly, ripe and ready in this case, with oak taking a back seat. Good fruit purity and fine line of acidity.
92 pts - Ken Gargett (Wine Pilot)This is a fine Chardonnay from the Denmark sub-region of the Great Southern in Western Australia. Fermentation was in French oak barrels. A gleaming yellow hue, there are aromas of cashews, stone fruits, florals, nectarines and dry herbs. The wine has good intensity, a supple and slightly creamy texture, with focus and balance, and is of medium length. Enjoyable now it will continue to drink well for the next five to six years.
