The Mill was built in 1961, operating as a steam powered flour mill for 40 years in the thriving central west region of New South Wales. This once forgotten piece of the area’s history was carefully brought back to life in 1994 by the O’Dea family, makers of Windowrie wines. Today, The Mill stands as a three-story building featurinng blue stone, granite, and reclaimed timber, and is an award-winning attraction in the region.
Color: Sun-bleached straw.
Nose: This wine has wonderful aromatics of white flowers, white peach, vibrant passionfruit, with hints of roasted nuts and vanilla oak spice.
Palate: On the palate, the wine offers a creamy softness, followed by white peach and lime juice. The mid-palate features a citrus-inspired mineral chalk texture. This results in a wonderfully appealing wine, full enough to enjoy with most meals.
Pairings: Jamie Oliver’s best roast chicken, soft cheeses, hummus, and crispy skin Barramundi.
